The Oklahoma City Thunder is the number 1 team in the west right now. I can say that they are the most improved team in the west because last year they were only ranked number 8 in the west. Their improvement in record can be credited to the emergence of Russel Westbrook and Kevin Durant as the main go to players of the team. Russel Westbrook has improved his drives in the basket and in his capability to be a playmaker for the team. Meanwhile, Kevin Durant has improved on being a clutch player and shooting the basketball in the paint and outside the paint. Besides this, James Harden has also been a reason on the improvement of the Oklahoma City Thunder. He is the main scorer in the bench and he has drastically increased his production in scoring. Finally, Kendrick Perkins and Serge Ibaka have been the main defensive stoppers of the team. They have increased their defensive intensity and have gained more blocks in each game because of this.
